i don't FUCKING get it. no progress in the past week??? are you kidding me? what is going on here? i have turned in to a camel with the amount of water that i have consumed in the past week. i have tried my damnest to watch what i eat.

my pants are starting to fall off of me (including those size 12's i bought the other day) and i can look at my stomach and tell its not as "bloated" looking.

so what gives?

okay, so now its time to re-evaluate some things. i need to do a lil research and i will get back with ya'll (plus, it have to run to work).

Hi Elizabeth - I found your blog thru Joyce. I'm trying to drop some weight too and am stuck at my weight after dropping 5 the first week. They say that you shouldn't focus so much on your weight but how you look and feel and how your clothes fit. If your clothes are getting looser and your tummy is going down, you must be doing something right! Also muscle weighs more than fat so you may be replacing fat with muscle. Good luck!

Are you getting near your time of the month? I amand because I'm all pmsy and bloating, I gained 3 pounds this week. ICK!! First gain for me since I've been losing again...I'm hoping that is what the gain is from...I'm sticking by that excuse! :)

WOMAN, I done tole you, you must drink a LOT of water. You seriously won't lose an ounce unless you're drinking a lot of water.

Your body won't store it, it'll flush it. And your kidneys will get more efficient, and your metabolism will go up.

Really: drink. A lot. of water. A lot.

thanks everyone for the support! believe it or not, i started my period a friggin' week early (and i'm on the pill...grrrr!!) so i am hoping that has to do with it.

and julia, if i drink any more water girlfriend, i am going to float away...lol.

Elizabeth, hang in there! I have more than many of those weeks.
Good advise on the water also from Julia..I know it helps but like you, Elizabeth..I hate floating! ;) Oh and constantly running to the dang bathroom! ohhhh I hate that! I hate that!

Muscle definately weighs more than fat but takes up less room - so you should be judging your progress by the fit of your clothes not what the scale says - you could be smaller but heavier.

(Which is a goo thing, right?)

Oh - and muscle also uses up more energy than fat as well.
